A Story of Family Commitment
Walter Bristo, started the Bristo's company as a horse and carriage taxi firm in Ipswich in 1910. It began trading
in motor vehicles in 1932 with the Vauxhall/Bedford agency.
Harry Head, bought the business in 1966 and Bristo's gained the Toyota franchise in the 70's. Bristo's has expanded
significantly to welcome the prestigious Renault franchise and more recently Skoda. Its four sites, just a mile from
the town centre, now cover approximately two acres and incorporate the most modern showroom and workshops in the area.
While the garage has grown and modernised to move with the times, the family have never lost their commitment to traditional
service and value. Says Managing Director Ian Head, "Our philosophy has always been to provide customer satisfaction, quality
and value. Our word is our bond and we strive to deliver only the best. After forty years, and with an amazingly low turnover
in staff, our customers know that they can depend on us for first class service, high quality vehicles and personal attention
second-to-none".
