their government-funded mobility allowances. The Motability scheme was set up to help people who receive the Higher Mobility
Component (HMC) of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplements purchase a new car.

wide doors, plus expert assistance from Motability specialists. Motability customers are able to exchange their allowance
for a worry-free
mobility package that may include:

- Insurance
- Servicing
- Tyres
- Breakdown cover
- Adaptations and wheelchair accessible vehicles are also available.
How It Works
Motability is a registered charity which provides mobility solutions for people with disabilities and their families in the UK.
It was set up on the initiative of the Government in 1977, to provide vehicles and powered wheelchairs to people with disabilities.
Special terms have been arranged with Renault, as well as other motor manufacturers, wheelchair and vehicle adaptation
suppliers, banks and insurers, so that today a variety of schemes can be offered to enable people with disabilities to become more mobile.
Motability customers agree to pay all, or part of their Mobility Allowance (DLA or WPMS), depending on their choice of vehicle,
for the duration of their contract hire or hire purchase agreement.
For Motability customers, Renault means affordable, convenient and safe motoring.
Are you eligible for a Motability car?
To join the Motability car scheme, you must be receiving either:
Higher Rate Mobility Component (HRMC) of the Disability Living Allowance, or War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS).
